  Department of Physical Education
Established in 1977, graduate degree programs in the Department of Kinesiology include Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in exercise science and physical education. We have more than 300 alumni who are currently providing sport and educational services for the public and other relevant areas.
The faculty members in the Department are nationally and internationally recognized for their research in exercise science and physical education. Each laboratory not only performs joint research with basic sciences such as medical and natural science, but also conducts interdisciplinary research that includes sociology, physiology, biomechanics, psychology, education, and philosophy.
Since Kinesiology refers to the study of human movement, the graduate program offers theoretical and practical opportunities to study and practice many specialized areas. These areas include sport history and philosophy, exercise physiology, sport psychology, exercise and sport biomechanics, adapted physical education, sport pedagogy, and principles of physical education relating to scientific research as well as scholarly work.
